Meet Hélène Cecilia at the Nuit Blanche des Chercheurs on February 11th!

The 2021 edition of the Nuit Blanche des Chercheurs will be held 100% online on February 11th. Hélène Cecilia, PhD student at BIOEPAR team DYNAMO, will take part in a Science dating session from 6:00 pm to 6:45 pm entitled: Mathematical modelling in the fields of biology.

Since 2017, the University of Nantes has been organising the Nuit Blanche des Chercheurs (Researchers' White Night). Combining science, culture and a festive spirit has been the challenge taken up by the University of Nantes for the past four years. Indeed, this event is a high point of encounter between researchers and the general public. The latter can thus discover the beginnings of certain projects or understand and discuss with researchers the major issues of tomorrow.
In 2021, the theme chosen is: "The unexpected":

How do researchers deal with the unexpected?
Is it possible to avoid the unexpected?
Is the unexpected beneficial to science? Can it be modelled?
What are the physiological and psychological responses to the unexpected?
Instinctive reactions or anticipation?

This subject, more than ever topical, covers diverse and interdisciplinary fields of research.
Medicine between uncertainty and prediction, archaeology and its fortuitous discoveries, history as memory, the impacts of psychology, physics and its infinitely complex laws? Many fields of research encounter and explore the unexpected.

Scientists invite you to take hold of the unexpected and the unforeseen for an evening.

Due to the health crisis, the event will take place in a digital version.

Registration for science dating opens on 1 February, the rest of the conferences and activities are without registration.
