COMAD-DHM

The "Dairy Health Manager" (DHM) simulator is a software package developed by UMR BIOEPAR using its own resources to simulate a herd of dairy cattle in a specific farm context, with the aim of assessing the technical and economic benefits of animal health management strategies. The aim of the COMAD-DHM project is to consolidate this development and make it available to a wide range of users. It will involve evaluating the tool by carrying out a sensitivity analysis in order to identify the data that have the greatest influence on the results and consolidating them where necessary, and producing the complete human-machine interface (HMI) to improve its ergonomics. The project is organised into 2 work packages :

  • WP1 : Consolidation will involve assessing the relevance and quality of the modelling of the functional modules selected by means of a sensitivity analysis, and making any adjustments that may prove necessary
  • WP2 : The simulator will be made available online following the development of an application programming interface (API) developed in-house and a Human Machine Interface (HMI) produced by an external service provider

COMAD-DHM has been selected for funding under the "INRAE 2024 Prematurity" APP, and the work will be carried out during 2025.

People involved in the unit :

 

  • Nathalie Bareille is the simulator's technical and functional expert
  • Philippe Gontier is in charge of the conceptual and technical aspects of the sensitivity analysis, as well as the developments to be carried out on the basis of the results obtained. He will also be working with an external service provider to develop the graphical interface
  • Maéva Caillat is in charge of carrying out the sensitivity analysis of DHM and reporting the findings. If necessery, she could write a scientific article on the methodology she has used
