Line Saidan is a PhD Student in the APPIFISH team, under the supervision of Emmanuelle Moreau and the co-direction of Kenny Oberlé. Her thesis project aims to characterize the phylogenetic, phenotypic and antigenic diversity of A. salmonicida subsp. salmonicida and L. garvieae/petauri, which are responsible for infections in rainbow trout, in order to improve diagnosis, understanding of antibiotic resistance and vaccine efficacy.

After completing a BTS at AFBB, Line completed her training at EBI, where she obtained and engineering degree in biology. During her studies, she acquired significant experience, notably at INRAE in Toulouse, where she worked on porcine intestinal organoids, and at the University of Montreal, where she studied the interactions of Streptococcus suis with the porcine intestinal barrier.

It was through these experiences that Line developed a real passion for research, which she hopes to combine with her interest in teaching by becoming a professor-researcher.
