PhD Student

Anne-Cécile, an agricultural engineer specialising in data science, joined BIOEPAR as PhD student. She is interested in precision livestock farming and new technologies. Her thesis is on the " Dynamics and impact of heat stress on the behaviour, lameness and performance of dairy cows in Western France". The aims of the project are: (1) to determine the amplitude and onset time of behavioural and/or physiological changes, and the eventual return to normal as a function of threshold and/or duration of exposure around periods of heat stress; (2) to study the dynamics of milk production and reproductive performance around periods of heat stress; (3) to describe the incidence of lameness following different heat stress situations in order to confirm or refute the link assumed up to now. Anne-Cécile is supervised by Raphaël Guatteo (BIOEPAR), Yannick Le Cozler (PEGASE) and Aurélien Madouasse (BIOEPAR).
