Veterinary doctor since 1991, Albert AGOULON obtained his PhD from the University of Nantes in 1996 on the dynamics of mosquito populations, which was awarded first prize by the SSNOF. Since 1997, he has been a Lecturer in Parasitology at the ENVN - now Oniris, dividing his activities between veterinary education (basic training in Parasitology and deployment in cattle breeding), research (biology of Fasciola hepatica initially, then tick ecology since 2004) and expertise on mosquitoes (EID-Atlantique) and ticks (CNEV). He has coordinated a book chapter, of which he is the main editor, on the dynamics of tick populations (2016), published by IRD.
