Assistant engineer UMR 1300 BIOEPAR Adress: Oniris, site de la Chantrerie, CS40706, 44307 Nantes, France Team TIBODI, building G5, 2nd floor Email: claire.bonsergent-guillou@inrae.fr Tel: 02 40 68 76 80

After seven years' experience in various private sector research laboratories in genetics and pharmacology, which enabled her to specialise in molecular biology, Claire Bonsergent was recruited in 2006 as a research technician in avian immunology at the INRAE Val de Loire centre in the UMR ISP (Infectiology and Public Health). There, she set up the quantitative PCR technique for the characterisation of the innate immune response of pulmonary epithelial cells and endothelial cells in galliforms. She also carried out the production and functional study of recombinant avian chemokines and studied their adjuvant potential to implement new vaccination strategies in birds.

Claire Bonsergent obtained the CNAM engineering degree in Biological Engineering in 2010. In 2011, she joined the TiBoDi team of UMR BIOEPAR and participates in projects aiming to characterise the specificities of pathogen-host or pathogen-vector interactions, and works on the design of new molecular detection methods for tick-borne pathogens, in particular the Babesia parasite. After leading BIOEPAR's Quality cell for four years, she coordinated the implementation of BIOEPAR's prevention actions as a prevention assistant from 2015 to 2021. She is currently the Occupational Health and Safety Delegate for the TIBODI team.
